As a rapidly-growing, dynamic, multinational company in Nigeria, Total staff comprise people of a diversity of gender, age, physical conditions, race and ethnic origin, educational attainment and life experiences.

To permit a harmonious work-environment which permits each staff to give her\his best and go the extra mile professionally, several processes and activities have been put in place to promote professional and social integration :

  • Mentoring: all new staff are officially assigned to a senior colleague whose task is to ensure the rapid integration of the new staff into the professional and social work environment. The mentoring process is carefully monitored and encouraged by Management.

  • Social Integration Events: through regular social activities of the Staff Club but also through some deliberately-scripted social events, staff are provided with the environment to interact socially in a non-hierarchical way...to meet each other on the human dimension...and especially to have fun together
  • Sports: The company encourages staff to participate in sports, especially group sports events to promote physical and mental fitness but also to promote interaction and camaraderie. Staff of Total in Nigeria participate in the Total Group's sports competitions like the annual Total Regata, Total Football Competitions
  • Philanthropy / Community Service Projects: Staff are encouraged to give part of their free time to Philanthropic and Community Service projects. The group and Total in Nigeria occasionally provide matching funds for worthwhile projects through the various foundations it has
